Wine Wisdom CEO Karen Goldspink has a long history and involvement in the wine industry. It is her passion, her businesses and her hobby. Needless to say she loves her work.
Her passion for wine is an extension of her passion for food which emerged aged seven! She was drinking wine, in her teens, when her peers were stuck on beer and spirits.
It was a natural decision for Karen to pursue wine studies at Roseworthy (Adelaide University) she then went on to gain post-graduate qualifications in marketing, management (MBA UNE) and corporate directorship as well as training and workplace assessment. During this time she worked in the wine industry, increasing her knowledge of Australian and then European wines. All of her holidays have been focussed on specific wine regions or attending wine shows or courses such as the AWRI Advanced Wine Assessment Course in Adelaide and Master of Wine Summer schools.
In 1998 she set up www.smallwineries.com.au which has now morphed into www.winewisdom.com.au .
She has been teaching wine education courses for over 20 years extending into the one-on-one, and corporate/group courses 2 years ago. She also runs a winery tour business Days of Delight Winery Tours.
Individual & corporate wine consultancy is one of her specialities ensuring that her clients derive the greatest pleasure from their wine through judicial buying and the maintenance of a well balanced cellar. All in all a one stop shop for wine lovers! Click the links to find out more! |
