Dear Karen, I was given your course as a gift and having attended wine appreciation courses previously was looking forward to it but had no high expectations.

However I have to say that this is by far the best course I have ever attended. The combination of lecture, tastings and food and wine matching with your encouragement and understanding, as well as the time to enjoy the company of like minded people, made for an absolutely superb experience. The course more than fulfilled my expectations. It demystified the wine making process and has enabled me to understand more fully my own wine preferences. It has equipped me with knowledge and tools that I now employ confidently whenever I drink wine. The mysteries and delights of wine and food matching no longer scare me.

Creativity and attention to detail were hallmarks of Karen's approach, and her obvious investment of much advance preparation meant that one delight after another unfolded smoothly as we toured the area. We met with master winemakers of the King Valley, tasted their wines, enjoyed their hospitality and learned their secrets. We enjoyed the culinary delights of some of the region's finest restaurants, and admired the picturesque spring views of the valley. Private cellar visits, vineyard tastings, and a dinner with the winemakers all combined to make for a memorable and enjoyable break, and we look forward to joining Karen on one of her tours again in the future.
